Outline of the WHO Association of Japan

Objective
● To promote greater public understanding of the spirit of the WHO Constitution
● To cooperate in efforts to achieve the goals of the WHO’s activities
● contribute to the health and wellbeing of people in Japan and other countries

Activities
(1) Organizing seminars on health, publishing the Association’s bulletin, and conducting other
activities to promote understanding of the spirit of the WHO Constitution

(2) Conducting and promoting research and studies on health issues through commissions and
providing grants, and preparing recommendations based on the outcome of such research

(3) Exchanging information and cooperating with companies, organizations, and individuals involved
in social activities related to health both in Japan and other parts of the world

(4) Supporting and cooperating with fund-raising activities for causes proposed by the WHO

(5) Development and support of human resources leading to the enhancement of health in Japan
and other parts of the world
